Split Sole Dance Academy is a young establishment founded in July 2009, with the primary goal of achieving technical excellence in dance. SSDA believes one must always dance as though they were a kid at heart and a professional in style; master in technique and an explorer of the inner self and creative mind.
SSDA is home to different dance forms - namely Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary and Lyrical, with a focus in JAZZ FUNK.
Dance as an art form is constantly evolving. SSDA strives with elegance to give everyone associated with it the best information possible on technique and style.
Dhiraj Bakshi, Founder and Artistic Director of SSDA, has been trained in Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz Funk, Lyrical and multiple Ballroom styles. He has attended an array of workshops with international instructors from all over the world - Jann Freeman, Suraiya Franco, Jacqueline Bird etc. - which has given him vast exposure in his field of work. Along with being a teacher and a performer, Dhiraj Bakshi is also a choreographer.
